The 2024 MARC Annual Conference will be held from June 9 to 12, 2024, at The Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot, in Minneapolis, MN.

The Depot stands as a living, breathing monument to a fantastic era of rail travel -- where timeless charm meets modern convenience. This iconic location is located near Target Field (home of the Minnesota Twins), the Guthrie Theater, light rail, nightlife and shopping.

Conference Topics

Conference Session topics include energy storage; inter-regional transmission planning; future of gas; case studies of innovative technologies; diversity, equity and inclusion; energy transition in the workforce; affordability issues; resource planning; Federal incentives and rebates under IRA and IIJA; demand response technology, including virtual power plants; electric vehicles; and MORE.

Wednesday, June 12, features several tours beginning at approximately 10:00 AM, including Xcel Energy's Sherco Solar Project; Xcel Energy's Marshall Operations Facility; Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, CenterPoint Energy's Hydrogen Electrolyzer Pilot Project, LJ Shosten Union Training Center, District Energy St. Paul, NextEra Gopher Battery Energy Storage Project, and a Walking Tour of Downtown Minneapolis with Minnesota Commissioner John Tuma. Your 2024 MARC Conference registration confirmation email will include a link to sign up for an industry tour. Please do not forget to complete this important sign-up. Transportation will be provided.

Once registered, you will receive a link to reserve a room at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot at the MARC room rate of $215 per night (plus tax and fees). The last day to book at the MARC group rate is Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The Mid-America Regulatory Conference (MARC) annual meeting is being held June 9-12, 2024, in Minneapolis, MN.

Those attending the MARC must agree to the terms of this Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Waiver of Claims (Waiver and Release).

MARC has taken preventative measures to reduce the spread of communicable disease including, but not limited to COVID-19 (“Communicable Disease”) at its annual conference (“Event”).

However, I acknowledge that MARC cannot guarantee that I will not be exposed to or contract a Communicable Disease at the Event. Further, due to the nature of the facilities, services and programs offered at this Event, I understand that attending the Event could increase my risk of contracting a Communicable Disease.

ATTENDEE REQUIREMENTS

I agree to abide by all applicable COVID-19-related requirements, advisories, policies, procedures, and protocols of the hotel or conference center and MARC, as well as the CDC, state of Minnesota, and any other governmental authority for the duration of my stay.

If masks are required when the event convenes, I will comply with all guidelines. Failure to comply and abide by our rules could lead to expulsion without a refund. In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Event, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, acknowledge and agree as follows:
